Because of this Louis had to stay with his Grandma or Uncle most of the time.<br>He also grew up in the poor part of town called "The Battleground." When he was 12 he got in trouble and got sent to the New Orleans Home for Colored Waifs and joined their band. He was also mentored by Joe Oliver. Even though he was well known for playing trumpet, he didn't start playing it until he was 24.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>When Louis was in his early teens he started playing in a local New Orleans band. In his early 20's he played  in many bands including Kid Ory's Band and the Tuxedo Brass Band. At the age of 24 he moved to Chicago and played in Joe Oliver's Creole Jazz Band, and then moved to NYC and played in the Fletcher Henderson Orchestra. In 1930 he moved back to chicago and started his own band called "The All Stars" and started touring. He is most famous for recording “What a Wonderful World”, “Hello Dolly” and “High Society”.</div>]]></description>

Louis was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame in 1990. 11 of his recordings even got inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. Louis has also starred in many movies including "Hello Dolly". There is also an airport in New Orleans named after him</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>When Miles was in high school he started playing with local bands and even played with Eddie Randle's Blue Devils. When he was 18 he went to a fine music school, but after 2 years he dropped out. After he dropped out, he Started a band called Miles Davis and the Modern Jazz Giants which had many famous jazz musicians. In the 1950s he formed a Quintet featuring John Coltrane, Red Garland, Paul Chambers, Philly Joe Jones, and Davis. In 1959 he released his most famous song called "So What". He later created a new style of music called Jazz Fusion which combined Jazz and Rock together. One of his songs, "Decoy" won a Grammy award. In total Miles recorded 51 songs.</div>]]></description>
