Why should you get paid to do something if you don't like putting any effort into doing it? I guess money is the only way to get people to do things.

It's time to reconsider the practice of assigning daily homework. Let's imagine that little boy, coming home off the bus and, instead of sitting down to pages of math and spelling, he can just eat dinner, or take a nap. That would sound like bliss for many people. And it really should be that way, because for one, school takes up almost half of a child's day, and homework takes even more. Seven or eight hours is more than enough for schoolwork, especially in a building far from home. It's also extra stress for children, as they want to get a good grade and make their parents and the school happy, and not angry. Also, I think that if school isn't a place to relax, then home isn't a place to study. Overall, most people think homework is unfair, and should not be given in schools. But what do you think?

Example. A boy gets done with his school and is walking home. Another kid comes over and says "hey do you want to come over to my house and hang out." instead of making a brand new friend you say, "I would but I have homework." So the kid doesn't get a new friend and has to do homework.
