Hello everyone! I am looking forward to our Summer semester together exploring all things related to art!! Since we don't meet as a collective, I would like for us to meet here first. We will use this Padlet space often to see what we are all up to, so let's practice with our intro's.

Hii guys, my name is Abeerah and I am also a rising sophomore at Wunsche High School. I was born in Karachi, Pakistan, and I grew up in Dubai, UAE. I moved to the U.S. (Houston, Texas) in 2018. I speak 3 languages (Arabic, Urdu, and English) and I'm interested in learning Spanish as my 4th!

I'm a big traveler and I've been on more flights than I can count. Relating to art, I enjoy making realistic human portraits. I've enhanced my skills on drawing realism since I was in middle school, I participated in lots of competitions, it's something fun I like to do! Besides that, I like making visually pleasing dishes, and I also am working on my perfume business.

As for career goals, I aspire to go on the path of psychiatry.

Howdy! I'm Sarah, I work full time as an operations manager for a crating company in the oil and gas field. I love my career but missed learning, so decided to come back to school and knock out a degree a few courses at a time. I have a 7 year old Staffie mix who's a 67 pound lap dog. My biggest passion is traveling, I love experiencing new places and cultures and try to go somewhere new at least twice a year. I have always loved renaissance period art and gothic architecture which has been a focus of most of my travels. I've been to Hawaii, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal (The best), and Belgium! This summer; Kansas City and El Salvador, I can't wait!!!

Hello everyone I am Rodrick Simpson. I was born and raised in Houston, Tx and I am the father of a 1-year old; who I spend all of my time with when I’m not working. I’ve driven semi-trucks since I was 18, and now that I’m 24 I’ve decided that I will be continuing my education to pursue becoming a psychiatrist. I love cars, trucks, traveling, and all sports; which I am rooting for Argentina to win the World Cup. I’ve been to Jamaica, Hawaii, on cruises, but my dream trip is to visit Bora Bora. Hi, my name is Makayla and I am going into my senior year in high school this August. I was born and raised here in Houston and I want to be a ultrasound tech. I do plan on staying at Lone Star after I finish high school. I also got my first job this year and enjoy working. Hello, my name is Jocelyn Rodriguez. I am 17 years old, from Mexican descent, and I plan on becoming a Pediatrician in the future. Some interesting things about me are that I own a black gooldendoodle named Pookie, I love playing pickleball with my family and friends, and every Sunday I have a family tradition where everyone in my family goes out to eat breakfast and dinner together and we try several different restaurants from distinct cultures such as Asian food, middle eastern food, etc. We have tried tons of awesome places and are huge foodies! I am also a BIG fan of soccer, ever since I was a little girl my dad has always had me watching soccer, our main teams are Chivas and Mexico and we tend to not miss a single game. Lastly, I can’t wait to see what this course has in store for me!
