REFLECTION JOURNAL( INNOVATE MARKETING PITCH) - End of project, week 5 term 2.

1. How did your group work together to brainstorm and decide on a problem?
- We communicated with each other in class and through email. Each person carried different ideas and creativity, so we combined and brainstormed the ideas together. We went out of the school to collect documents and evidence, then we decided to work on that problem.
2. During the planning process, evaluate how effectively you worked as a group.
- I must say that we worked really well, we helped each other to discuss our idea and we wrote down all of our ideas and chose the best one. We figured out the solution together and did some research about the issue.
3. How did you individually contribute to the creation?
- I'm in charge of finding resources and editing the presentation. Also, I made sure our protocol and stuff were precise so I checked with teachers as well.
4. Critically discuss the quality of your overall solution and the presentation your group created.
- It was fine, I felt 70% satisfied with our group's production. During the making process, my friend cut out some parts without telling me so it was annoying and frustrating. When we pitched, we were struggling to explain and understand the problem because we changed most of the info before pitching. Though I'm kinda disappointed with our group performance, still, I think this is a great group, everyone was polite and respected each other's opinions.

1) How has your idea (product/service) developed over the past 4 weeks? (100 words)
We first developed the issue and then found solutions. Our product was found when I accidentally watched a video about the apple watch and its functions, such stuff as keeping track of heartbeat, controlling diet, and informing things. So, I asked my groupmates if we could utilize it in our pitch, and they agreed. For the first 2 weeks, we googled everything about the apple watch for more information, and also the users' feedback. Initially, the apple watch wasn't our first idea, however, we nailed the presentation and did a pretty good job at explaining the product.

2) Discuss one strength of either specific content included in your pitch or the way you pitched it (100 words)

One strength that I'm confident to talk about is the ability to convey the product to the audience. I feel like I have included clear details as well as other functions in "the support watch". During pitching, I made sure the product is explained neatly and convincingly. The result came out great, I could see the enthusiasm on most of everyone's faces. Many of them were interested in our product, which I could guess why because the "Support Watch" is based on Apple Watch, the design was very catchy as well. The teachers gave me some feedback as well, telling me about how convincing my product was and my good ability in presenting.

3) Discuss one area for improvement of either specific content included in your pitch or the way you pitched it (100 words)
- One thing I would improve was the overall presentation skill, specifically the eye contact. We did poorly in persuading the viewers to use eye contact. When presenting, we didn't communicate much with the viewers, instead, we read what was in our script, which made the whole presentation seem dull and didn't engage much attention from the viewers. For the next presentation, I hope this could be improved. I hope that the team members( including me) could prepare the day before and remember the key points of the script, as this could help us to understand the "script". Overall, we made a lot of mistakes when pitching but somehow managed to bring out the best presentation possible.

4) Reflect on how well you collaborated with your group members to create your pitch (100 words)
- On overall, I would give out the group's collaboration 9.5/10. The reason is that I could see our group has made a great process, as everyone helped each other. Besides, we divided the tasks equally and made sure that each person received the same amount of work, certainly, if anyone had questions we would together solve the problem. Therefore, I think that the outcome was well-made and prepared so I'm thankful to be a part of my group. However, we were still struggling with finding a joint "sympathy", my ideas weren't expressed to the others, so it was very frustrating.

FINAL REFLECTION - WEEK 8

<var>1.What have you gained from this experience?</var>
Personally, I have gained a better recognition of understanding the problems occurring in Glenunga and finding ways to solve them. Through the process of investigating and researching the problem, I found more about how technology could potentially intervene in a person's well-being and could make some touch. Besides, I found out collaborating was very helpful in doing group work, especially it could help me to expand my social skills and somehow made some great impacts on group operation. Moreover, I have made some changes to my presentation skills, specifically the confidence, use of gestures, and facial expressions. Apparently, on the Expo day, I think I've done a pretty good job in explaining( honestly, Darcy has done the most pitching) and leading our group to victory. YAY!!!
                 ♥ ---- ♥
<var>2. How has Action Project developed your understanding of the 4Cs? (100 words) </var>
Overall, Action Project has expanded my understanding of the 4Cs. Firstly, communication was key in most of our group discussions and considered to be one of the keys leading to our success. We communicated with each other and helped to discover the problems, thus, it has helped me to expand more on how communication was a crucial step in group working. Secondly, we utilized our creativity and the ability to acknowledge the world to put everything into our project, in addition, we used "visual aids". Furthermore, Action project has given me a chance to discover more about critical thinking. As we know that critical thinking influenced the way I think and how to settle with the problem, and as I expanded more into the problem, I knew that critical thinking had given me the ability to recognize and solve the problem. Last but not least, Action Project gave me ways to help me understand collaboration. For example, my teacher organized us into a group, this way, I could expand my collaboration skills and together solve the problem.
                   ♥ ---- ♥
<var>3.How can you use the skills developed in Action Project in other areas of your life / in the future? </var>
During the process of learning in Action Project, I collected my set of skills that could be used in other areas of my life, such as presenting skills, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, and the ability to construct ideas. These skills are very important in my future as I believe this could help me to build a successful person in my area. ♥ ---- ♥
<var> 4.What challenges did you face in this course, and how did you overcome them? (100 words)</var>
There were heaps of challenges occurring during the process of preparing and making the product. Firstly, our group didn't communicate much so it's been a rough time for me to understand other partners. So I asked each of them to speak up more. Secondly, my partners were absent quite a lot, so it was hard for me to catch up with others. However, we emailed each other and worked on our project. And lastly, one of my group members didn't finish her task on time, and it was really frustrating and annoying. So, I emailed them to finish all her tasks.
               ♥ ---- ♥
<var>How have you developed as a learner throughout this course? (80 words)</var>
As a learner, I believe that everything is organized into decisions and steps. I overcame the problems( first thing), conveyed our group's topic to others( second thing), expanded my critical thinking like a problem solver( third thing), communicated with each other (fourth thing), and last but not least, I prepared for myself the agility and adaptability skills. To sum up, I have developed into a better learner through this course.
               ♥ ---- ♥
<var>What have you gained from this course at a personal level? (50 words)</var>
At a personal level, I have gained some key steps as I mentioned earlier like I overcame the problems; conveying our group's topic to others; expanding my critical thinking like a problem solver; communicating with each other; and last but not least, I prepared for myself the agility and adaptability skills. I believe this set of skills has helped me to outreach the limit of myself.
              ♥ ---- ♥
"THANKS FOR THIS GREAT SEMESTER, IT'S A PLEASURE FOR ME TO BE A PART OF THIS CLASS. THANK YOU!!"
