I agree with Oliie.

The work is changing. The future work is more digital, more interactive, more virtual.

This was a very interesting presentation. I agree that work has been changing a lot and we can only guess that it will change a lot in the next 10 years as well.
On one hand, this is exciting; on the other hand, it can be scary because the job market will be unpredictable.

We will produce App, digital skills, computing. Yes the work will change. Just now, I collaborate in my teaching virtually with many other teacher in the world and I use actively social web to communicate with my students and collegues. I do agree with the ideas in the presentation, since I have seen
them happening. It is hard for me to imagine work ten years from now since everything seems to be changing so rapidly. The possibilities for collaboration are impressive.

1.1. What are digital skills?

I completely agree with the items from the Marshable website. Moreover, what I really like is the idea presented in the second video of a classroom where people/sts create, interact, develop,

exchage information. Seems to be o bvious, doen't it? However, as far as my teaching experience is concerned, that's not always the case! I'm not sure what digital skills will be important in the future..technology changes rapidly.

In the animation I really love the sentence "in the future classroom won't have four walls". It makes very clear what teachers need to do to help students to become ready for
their future.

I believe that the most important skills are produce information (creating a website, using a digital presentation tool) and exchange information ( communicating online with colleagues and partecipating in collaborative networks via the Internet).

I am agree with the 10 items from the Mashable website, particularly Ibelieve that young people leaving school should be able to back up to the cloud, use Google docs and Microsoft Office, set up a website and domain.

Skills are connected with practice. Without practice we do not produce, create, connect, access, store, present anything.

Nowadays we should improve the infrastructure and help students to connect with the minimum requirements. On the other part we should use the best technology we
have to connect (still 3G and 4G) by mobile tools.

In my opinion digital skills are strictly interconnected, so to be really competent you need to master, on a basic or advanced level, most of them.

I agree with Ollie.

Technology should be considered
as means by which goals in education will be achieved; Teachers should focus on values, on the importance of flexibility, resilience, social and collaborative skills.

We also have to think that
technology is not the end in itself, it is a means. We have to adapt it to our
needs and goals. It's important to teach students about the need to change, to
adapt, to persevere and to innovate without forgetting that critical thinking
should be at the root of all this change is not easy to teach.

The analysis is quite interesting. The final sentence "...Technology is not going to make teaching easier, it's going to make it different" suggests that what is important is the methodology, not the technology itself.

Sometimes just adapting our work
with the students to fit the needs of the new generation is not enough. Some
ideas need to be totally scrapped and start a fresh with a new set of curricular skills to teach. We need projects and opportunities to prove their skills and adaptation abilities is the way to go.

As teachers we try to encourage their initiative and self confidence .

Like in many other schools, the works of the students are showcased on the school's wall but three years ago I started to work on a free website (using weebly) where I try to showcase all their digital and non digital products.

I think this could be very motivating and could enhance decision-making skills and creativity.

I use facebook, in private groups to encourage students collaborate in tasks, like sharing doubts and the other help on solving.

I also use youtube to create a list of trailers related with the contents and share the video editions, like in the school facebook.

Great video and a lot of very interesting posts from all of you. All these new suggestions are making my head spin! Where to start? I often try too many things at once … Well, I have already used Skype ( a great tool to allow absent students to keep up with theclass ) , Prezi, Ezvid , Jing but I ‘ve never asked my students to create their own videos.

For sound recording we used Tellagami, which is adorable. Our next task is Voicethread - a combination of everthing: talking, writing, video. We also managed to create a lovely slide show using Slideshow maker. Perhaps I will introduce Viber into my classes.

I usually use Movie Maker and then I upload the videos to Youtube but in my last etwinning project they ask me not to use Youtube, which is a shame.

I found this video really interesting because I like audio and video productions. I created podcasts, used different video creators like moviemaker, phoyostory, vimeo. The students really enjoy using these type of software. They are learning and at the same time having fun. I think to develop these type of productions one must have a good microphone and a good video camera. I also found smilebox a good tool to download and create really nice videos. Below you can view a video that I created with moviemaker as part of an etwinning project.

How can you build website design into your lessons? I have used different tools like google sites and weebly to create websites focusing on etwinning projects therefore serving as a showcase of the students'work. With the help of these websites the students had the opportunity to upload their work, share and collaborate with their foreign partners. I also used wordpress to create a school website that I mentioned before in my posts. In the beginning I also used wikispaces. Click on the link below to see one of the websites.

I´d like to create a wiki but I havent got enough time- My work imetable is very hard and it´s necessary a lot of time to practise and create digital resources.

I didn´t know many of the sites mentioned by Ollie.

students. also because i usually create a mind map at first, and i try to get
the students able to construct a cmap at the end of the module

the best way is to use the keywords or the pictures in the right
way. So, you never lose the road. this is my suggestion for my students

When they have no ideas about the
topic we start with one ot two "general" keywords and we a read an
article about and we start to define better new and more specific keywords.

I found this video really useful since I didn't know about some
shortcut tips that ond can use while searching. I also think that the advanced
search button feature will help especially when you are doing a thorough
search.

Thanks a lot for the tips. They are very useful! I have discovered
so many things that I didn’t know. Advanced search seams to be very helpful,
because sometimes we stumble on lots of stuff.

between copyright and creative commons. This will help them to identify which
sources need to be quoted or not.

I know creative commons from eTwinning Researches and told my students about the rights, how they can copy other materials or not.

Actually, copyright is one of the most ignored issues especially doing homework and creating projects.
