         <title>VExpo 2021</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The final year students of the Entrepreneurship Program (HE04) has organised the Virtual Entrepreneurship Expo 2021, from 20<sup>th</sup> to 31<sup>st</sup> December 2021, a joint effort of Entrepreneurship Club (ENTREC) and BB31403 Entrepreneurial Strategy course. The aim of the event is to inculcate students' managerial and entrepreneurial skills through organising an event using appropriate decision-making skills. HE04 alumni, entrepreneurs and officials from the related agencies were invited as the speakers and judges to share their valuable knowledge and experience in the event. The virtual expo involved 17 online events like entrepreneurial talk, e-competition, online product promotion and demonstration, which the participation was open to all students in UMS and outside UMS. The opening and closing ceremony of the event was fulfilled with enthusiastic talks by distinguished speakers, Dr. Irwan Dahnil, an entrepreneur cum managing director for ID Exploration Consultancy, and Puan Razimah Mohamad, the Chief Assistant Director for Entrepreneurship Development, MARA Negeri Sabah. The expo hoped to develop an entrepreneurial spirit and mindset to students to become a future-proof generation in the future. The organisation of events also proved that students of HE04 were able to fulfil the academic requirement even though under this distracted norm.</div>]]></description>

The competition has given participants the opportunity to showcase their business through photography, provide space and opportunities for them to promote their business on social media on behalf of University Malaysia Sabah and further increase awareness &amp; existence of existing businesses. Through out this contest, a total of 12 participants are able to showcase their business through photography. Not only winners are given opportunity to promote their business on Virtual Entrepreneurship Expo, other participants have the opportunity as well. Thus, this event has successfully provided an opportunity for small entrepreneurs to promote their business whether they are UMS students or people from outside.</div>]]></description>

Participation is open to students of IPTA, IPTS, and the public who have their businesses. We have received a total of 6 entries from UMS students and the public for this competition. In the meantime, our competition has also received sponsorship from Mary Kay, namely Ms. Tirani Binti Asnin, and ArRaziqNetworks, namely Mr. Sidin Basaran. Apart from that, the winners will also be provided with attractive prizes such as first place will receive RM150 cash and Mary Kay fragrance, second place will receive RM100 cash and Mary Kay body care, third place will receive RM50 cash and Mary Kay lips care. Not to forget, we have also provided consolation prizes to the fourth and fifth place, namely beauty blotters oil-absorbing tissues.</div><div>	Furthermore, the outcomes of this entrepreneurial short video competition are to motivate the public to continue to work in running their business and the participants and organizers can use video editing skills according to their creativity while promoting their products and services. In addition to the knowledge that can be gained from this competition is that participants can increase knowledge in video editing through various applications, participants can also make social media as a center to promote their business, and participants will also gain knowledge about business in terms of time management and decision making.</div>]]></description>

It is also one of the events conducted in conjunction with the Entrepreneurship Club (ENTREC) UMS Semester 1 2021/2022's "Virtual Entrepreneurship Expo 2021." For our group event, three objectives have been established. The initial goal of our event is to foster a sense of collaboration among the participants. The second goal is to instil in them a sense of healthy competitiveness and a culture of healthy competition. The third goal of our event is to keep students amused while they are learning and competing. This event has been signed up for by 24 UMS students from all faculties. For our event, we mostly use Microsoft Team. Moreover, a variety of different online platforms were utilised, all of which are freely accessible via any browser (jlkm.fun and cardgames.io). The event was originally scheduled to take place on two dates (18 and 19 December 2021), however, due to mutual agreement, it has been condensed to a single day on the 18th of December 2021. (Saturday). From 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on the same day, the event lasted around two hours.&nbsp;<br><br>Throughout the event, all members have been allocated to either host and/or help with each round. The contestants participated in five rounds, including the Finale round. Each round consisted of a separate minigame meant to evaluate the participants' many characteristics such as general knowledge, English abilities, board game skills, as well as their speed and accuracy in completing these games. The five minigames were “Guess the Song!”, “Guess the Movie! (Emojis Version)”, “Spelling Game”, “Pop Sauce”, and “Reversi”. At the completion of the contest, the victors (the last women standing) were declared, and three lucky drawings were drawn. The competition has provided an opportunity for participants to create better knowledge in economic change and provide guidance on the new economy after the covid-19 pandemic to the community. Participants can also hone their talents in creating interesting and creative posters. Prior to that, our group members had collected a fee of RM 20 per group member as a gift to the winners of this event. During the contest, a total of 8 participants were able to submit their results in the form of posters and our group members evaluated their posters according to the set criteria. Various types of interesting and creative posters that the participants made. The winners were also asked to introduce themselves in the form of a short video. This is meant to be showcased in the Virtual Entrepreneurship Expo. My group members also already gave away prizes to the participants who won our event poster contest.</div>]]></description>

As a token of appreciation, all participants will be given an e-certificate, and SDP points will be credited to participants who are UMS students. <br><br><strong>Summary of the overall event: <br></strong><br>On the 28th of December 2021, we, students from Group 7, successfully organized an event called "Quiz &amp; Sharing about Common Diseases in Malaysia." This event has two sessions: (1) a quiz attempt session and (2) a sharing session. The event began with the first session, in which participants were given up to 20 minutes to attempt a quiz containing 25 questions about common diseases in Malaysia. The event then moved on to the second session, where the sharing session began. During the sharing session, our speakers shared with our participants about the three most common diseases in Malaysian society: hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol), hypertension, and diabetes mellitus. They also discussed ways to prevent it and the importance of living a healthy lifestyle. The benefits of the events:</strong></div><div>•	Every participant can join the competition without pay anything and who ever win the competition from 1st place until 3rd place will get prizes money. 1st place will get Rm45, second place RM30, 3rd place RM15.</div><div>•	They also get SDP Point for UMS student and E-Certificates for all participants</div><div>•	Participant can use any resources to create their poster and showing their creativity.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>5. Summary of overall event:</strong></div><div>We, the HE04 entrepreneurship students, held an event called the Covid 19 E-poster competition as part of the Strategic Entrepreneurship course (group 11). This event is open to everyone, whether or not they are UMS students. The event lasted a week, from December 28th, 2021 to January 2nd, 2022. We received many entries which is 19 participants and had a difficult time selecting the winners because the posters submitted by participants were all creative and beautiful. So, we vote in an election, and the candidate who receives the most votes is declared the winner. we select the winners who meet the criteria that we provide which is design (30%), creativity (20%), neatness (10%) and content (40%). The participant need to choose one theme out of three theme such as Prevention Covid-19, Get vaccinated and Symptoms of Coronavirus. After participant register the contest, the participant need to join our telegram because we provide the poster submission link in the telegram. So, what we learned from this event was that it was able to raise awareness and knowledge about Covid-19.</div>]]></description>

This event was held on 28 &amp; 29 December 2021 at 7:00 pm until 10:00 pm. In this competition we are only looking for 3teams to be crowned as the first, second and third winners. In this event as well, we as the implementers have worked hard to make this event run smoothly without any problems. Therefore, this event has been completed by our group on December 29, 2021 and has rewarded the winners and all participants as well. Thank you.</div>]]></description>

This event has two session, the first one is *Sharing Session* with our invited speaker, namely Encik Mohd Yusof Yaakob. Which is in this session, apart from telling participants about his career, he also doing a special and simple demonstartion of fruit carving. The event then move on to the second session, which is *Kahoot Session*. Here, participant need to open Kahoot application in order to join the quiz and win the prize. Therefore, our group offered RM100 for first place winner, RM40 for second place winner, and RM20 for third place winner. After that, the committee members involved made a transaction to the winners with the amount of prizes that had been offered. We, from the management of seven people, have joined hands in making this event a success, where the match starts from 8 p.m. until 12 midnight. There are many reliable players, providing competition between each group. In conclusion, the mobile legend tournament event is not only to show off the skills of playing games but also to strengthen friendships between UMS students and outsiders. This quiz mostly take time about 5 seconds for one question and the questions were not too easy. The reason is because the objective of this quiz is to improve knowledge among students and public people in the form of leisure and recreation and also to sharpen their mind in critical thinking. The top three winners will receive cash prize. A few years ago, the game was at its zenith of popularity, but Fortnite emerged as a formidable competitor, and PUBG began to lose players aggressively. PUBG remains, however, the most popular and largest multiplayer game on Steam. In comparison to Fortnite, Bluehole began advertising PUBG as an annual event. The stunning PUBG Global Invitational 2018, which gathered more than 60,000,000 viewers at its height, concluded the inaugural competitive tournament season in July 2018. Because of the popularity of the e-sports scene, we had to hold this PUBG competition. We choose to further strengthen the world of e-sports among students at the University of Malaysia Sabah because of the rapid development in the world of e-sports.</div>]]></description>

Not only that, joining our event is a fun and interactive way to learn new skills and improve existing ones. The event has a few session that we manage to handle which is, the 1st session, we let our invited speaker to give a short talk about herself and also introduce the ingredients that necessary for baking.
