Writing practice

Last birthday, I was gifted a novel named “Nobody’s Boy” by Hector Malot writer. I was very excited to read it. It took 2 weeks to finish completely. I think this was one of the best novels I have ever read before. The novel was about a boy Remi without a father and mother. He was sold to an old man called Vitalis. They wandered everywhere and performed like a circus. Then, Vitalis died, and Remi had to grow up by himself.

There are three reasons why this is my favorite novel. Firstly, the novel is quite light to read although the story is very long. Secondly, I admire Remi who is independent, brave, and more gracious than anybody I have ever known. I was inspired by him a lot. Thirdly, my best friend gave me this novel on my birthday, so it is very precious to me.

In my opinion, you must try to read this novel once, and you will have a wonderful experience.

III. Sentence translation

→ Reading books has been popular since 500 years ago.

→ Reading magazines is easier than reading novels.

→ Schools, Internet, libraries and bookstores have thousands of short stories, novels and biographies of the famous people all over the world.

→ there are millions of books FOR READERS ( in order) to read about any topics.

→ It takes years of study to become a good reader.

II. Writing practice

Gone with the wind is my favourite novel. Gone With the Wind is a story about civil war, starvation, rape, murder, heartbreak and slavery. I like it for several reasons.

Firstly this novel helps me understand about love and war. That is the nicest love but the most sadest story I ever read.

Secondly I like the most Scarlet O Hara in that novel. She is the most complex and interesting woman. Although her life was very difficult, she always feels endlessly and gleefully hopeful. I learnt many things from her.

More importantly, I was reading the english version which is a perfect way to improve my language level.
