This photo was taken at springleaf park connector. A low aperture number, which affects the depth of field, was used to focus more on the flower and to produce a sharper photo. A low ISO, which affects light sensitiv was used for light sensitivity. A low shutter speed could be used as the object, in this case the flower, is stationary and low shutter speed can be used. The photo can make the viewer more excited as more vibrant colors are present in the photo. 

This is a very interesting picture as it shows how random strangers walking past each other does not know each others’ back story. It has a feeling of being oblivious to their surroundings.  The photo is taken with higher ISO.

 

This picture has a mysterious aura, similar to how us teenagers in this generation isolate ourselves from others as we are famous for having the title of being ‘anti-social’. It also represents how an individual in the vast sea can stand out when they are specifically focused on. The techniques that were used here is having low ISO and a wide aperture, with the focus on the boat.

Since the tree is framed right in the middle, it makes us think about why the photographer had chose to especially do it this way, it could've been a strategy to bring attention to it. It makes us feel that the tree is an important subject in the picture. The photo is not to bright hence, it should've been taken with a low ISO

This picture describes the creativity of the architect, who applied shapes in order  to build a unique and unexpectedly attractive staircase. Using  such unique methods to design staircases can attract people to use the healthier way of using the stairs, instead of the lift. Also, the low aperture helps to focus the circle, which connects the flight of stairs together. The background of the picture gives a realistic feel of the stairs. The rule of thirds help to sharpen the picture in order to make a clear and give a realistic feel. (Spiral Staircase) 

This photo also depicts a cluster of flowers, but they are much more vibrant in colour. This photo tells us the Mother Nature can be very beautiful at times and we all have to preserve the beauty of the flowers. We wanted to capture the essence of the vibrancy of the flowers so we increased the aperture to create a shallow depth of field and lowered the ISO in order to control the light sensitivity and in turn produce more vibrancy of the flowers.

 

PICTURE 15-  This picture is taken at lower seletar reservoir on a bridge over a railing.

Taken with large aperture . Silhouette of the railings creates a shadowy foreground which puts attention to the background. This creates a relaxing scene and makes the viewer think what lies beyond the background

Picture 16- Picture of a spiral staircase. The circular step is in the middle of the picture which becomes the subject of the picture, which creates a spiralling effect of the steps, like it is curling around the focus. The bottom step has a shadowy feel which makes the viewer think of what’s at the bottom.

.Picture 17- Picture of the underneath of the pier at lower seletar reservoir. Taken with a large aperture and low ISO.I felt relaxed after seeing this picture. I think that this picture is very interesting picture because it has very good reflection of the pier. The silhouette of the pier brings out the colour of the water which makes it look serene.

 

Big : 
 ~this picture shows a long path which leads to a sheltered area which we can sit there and take a rest after a jog or  we can enjoy the beautiful view of the sky 

Feeling :
  ~sometimes when life is hard and you need a break from everyone and everything 

Thought : 
 ~ sometimes when we just need a rest from everything in life including all problems and  difficulties in life           

Technique : 
 ~the ISO for this picture is being decreased as to  have a better view of the colour of the sky 

BIG : 

Picture 19 : This picture is about water spraying and watering the plants to let them grow. 

Picture 20 : This picture is about a thin tree’s view from the bottom. 

Feeling : 

Picture 19 : I feel that if we use the water as tears and the plants as our eyes. 

Picture 20 : I feel that we can represent the tree as humans. 

Thought : 

Picture 19 : If we think it that way, we can interpret it as if that sometimes we need to ‘wash’ our eyes with tears in order to grow and get a clearer view of life. 

Picture 20 : This means that if we see the thin tree as humans, the tree is beautiful and therefore not everyone who are thin are ugly. They can be beautiful too.

Picture 20 : As for the techniques, the photographer increased the ISO to capture the details of the tree. 

This picture clearly shows a vibrant yellow coloured flower, surrounded by the intense greenery of the leaves. It is barely noticeable but there is a water droplet on the surface of the leave that is captured. This will increase the aesthetically pleasing feeling of the viewer. The yellow flowers creates a deep thought of the aromatic flowers that bloom on the first day of spring. This picture is captured exquisitely, as a low ISO is used to decrease the brightness of the sun. A low shutter speed is also used to capture the stationary flower. 

The butterfly represents us while the leaves are what we decide to focus on, the more interesting things, the distractions. The blurred out background are what we really need to do, the important work. We decide to focus on the more irrelevant things than to focus on the important work that we need to do. The butterfly, like us, has no control over ourselves. But this is life, we will choose to do the things that we like over what we need to do as the things we want to do is more interesting. As a photographer, we should always stay focused and not get distracted as moments worth capturing might come and go in a matter of seconds, like this photo. The butterfly on the leaves is hard to capture, yet it is, as I was focused while capturing this photo. I used a shutter speed of 1/30 and an ISO of 1000 and a small aperture to capture this moment worth capturing 

This photo shows a yellow flower. I feel very calm after looking at the flower as it shows how there is no intense feeling instead, it is a relaxing sight due to the cool atmosphere. The flower is bright and healthy due to the rain which poured daily and allows the flower to bloom. The close up shot used by the photographer shot allows us to see the details like the dew formed on the leaves, which shows the cool air after the rain. 

This photo  was taken with ISO 200 at F3.5 Aperture. A large aperture is used to create a shallow depth of field in the image. The low ISO means that grain in the image is minimal. The subject of the photo is composited with the rule of thirds, and is kept in sharp focus.

-         Picture 22 : I think that no matter what , we will always need to have someone by our side to help us through life . 

Technique : 

-         Picture 22 : The photographer increase the ISO to make the picture bright and decrease the shutter speed because the object is not moving . 

I feel very relaxed after looking at this picture as it captures the blue sky and the shadow casted on the bridge. The bridge is taken with a high aperture to show the landscape. I like that the photographer use some of the space for the sky.
