The history of software is closely tied to the development of digital computers in the mid-20th century. Early programs were written in the machine language specific to the hardware. The introduction of high-level programming languages in 1958 allowed for more human-readable instructions, making software development easier and more portable across different computer architectures

A microprocessor is a computer processor for which the data processing logic and control is included on a single integrated circuit (IC), or a small number of ICs. The microprocessor contains the arithmetic, logic, and control circuitry required to perform the functions of a computer's central processing unit (CPU). The IC is capable of interpreting and executing program instructions and performing arithmetic operations.[1] The microprocessor is a multipurpose, clock-driven, register-based, digital integrated circuit that accepts binary data as input, processes it according to instructions stored in its memory, and provides results (also in binary form) as output. Microprocessors contain both combinational logic and sequential digital logic, and operate on numbers and symbols represented in the binary number system.

Radio waves control everything from AM/FM broadcasts to wireless networks and garage door openers. Even devices like radar and microwave ovens rely on radio waves. Communication and navigation satellites would be impossible without them, as would modern aviation: an airplane relies on a dozen different radio systems. The Wi-Fi networks we rely on at work, home, and school also rely entirely on radio waves for data transmission. The funny thing is that, at its core, radio is an incredibly simple technology. With just a couple of electronic components that cost at most one or two dollars, simple radio transmitters and receivers can be built. In this article, we'll explore radio technology so you can fully understand how invisible radio waves make so many things possible.

In computing , a hard disk drive ( HDD ) is a data storage device that uses magnetic recording technology to store and retrieve digital files . It consists of one or more hard disks , each coated with magnetic material and held together by a fast-spinning shaft inside a sealed metal enclosure. A read/write head floats on a thin layer of air generated by the rotation of the disks on each side of the disk. [ 1 ] It allows random access to data, meaning that blocks of data can be stored or retrieved in any order, not just sequentially . Hard disk drives are a type of non-volatile memory , retaining stored data even when the power is off.

A hard disk drive (HDD) consists of a platter with compartments for storing data. This data includes your operating system, your applications, and any files you've created. There's also a drive arm that moves over the platter to read or write the requested information. To speed up this process, the platter rotates as the drive arm moves over it.

The data storage compartments can be scattered throughout the hard drive. This means that the data is not written in any particular order. There is an indexing system that allows the drive arm to find all the required data.

The platter and drive arm are delicate, so they're protected by a steel casing. This prevents damage to the disc under normal circumstances.

68% of Canadians own and use a smartphone, according to a 2015 Catalyst study. This represents a 24% increase from the year before, and the total number of smartphone users in Canada continues to rise dramatically. A smartphone is basically a wireless mobile device that lets you make phone calls but also offers additional data and video applications such as email and social media. In the 22 years since the smartphone was first launched, they’ve changed the way we consume, communicate and connect. From the way we watch TV to the way we shop and bank, and the way we find and share information, smartphones have revolutionized the world in relatively short order.

Today, a standard keyboard, both desktop and laptop, follows a QWERTY layout. This design is based on the key layout of the Remington 1 typewriter, where the letters are arranged to avoid frequent jamming. The top row includes numbers, and the second row begins with QWERTY, followed by other letters.
