They have offered me advice and different points of view. They have also offered opportunities to engage myself in school environments that are different from my own. I think this is an amazing connection because we work closely with students who have reading disabilities or are struggling readers, so I have been offered opportunities to help use my teaching skills in a way that is challenging, yet rewarding.
