Acquisition is used to refer to the gradual developmet of ability in a language by using it naturally in communicative situations with others who know the language. Aquisition normally takes place without teacher.

Learning is a more conscious process of acumulating knowledge of the feature of a language such as the pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar. Learning required teachers to guide the students.

For example, acquisition of a language can be seen in a family in which the child have English speaking parents. thisvis due to the fact that the child has been exposed to the surrounding of an English speaking community. hence, as the child grow older, he or she gradually acquires the ability to speak in English despite not learning the subject before starting school.

One example of English language through learning can be seen in schools through a formal set up in which there is a teacher and a classroom of students to be taught. For instance, in a classroom the students will be taught how to pronounce, the structures of a sentence, basic grammar rules and vocabulary. This is to help a student learn more regarding English language.

What are the problems you faced when learning a second language?

There are several problems that are often faced by second language learners. First, it can be difficult to pronounce certain words such as genre and buffet. These words are hard to pronounce because the spelling and the sound of pronouncing the word is different and are hard to relate. Not only that, second language learners are often influenced by sentence structure of their first language. Finally, in Malaysia, people are often judged when they communicate in English. Because people might be thinking it as showing off, while what this speakers are actually doing is to imporve their english language.

What motivates you to learn a second language?

3. There are several reasons that motivate us to learn English. Which are, instrumental motivation and integrative motivation. Instrumental motivation is when you do something in order to achieve something. For example, we want to learn English to excel in our study in order to have a brighter future. As for integrative motivation is when you learn the language in order to take part in the social life in a community. To illustrate, we want to better our English so that we will be able to speak to foreigners in fluent English for better understanding.

Which part of a second language that is easier to learn?

The easiest part of second language is the vocabulary and grammar because it can simply be acquired through movies, songs, newspapers or even face to face communication. Another reason is because both vocabulary and grammar are the basic components learned in English through communication.
