Country is part of American culture and a genre that sometimes still has hits today. It started all in the late 1910’s, where the first country-like music can be discovered in recordings of Southern Appalachian (New Hampshire)  fiddle players. Only ten years later, Country was acknowledged a real genre within the music branch. 

The very first official recorded Country song was from fiddler Eck Robertson in 1922 called ‘Sallie Gooden’. It lasted only two years for a singer called Vernon Dalhart to create the first national country hit in the United States. From this moment, a whole new music genre was born.

Another great milestone for the Country genre was Jimmie Rodgers, better known as the ‘Father of Country Music’.  Jimmie Rodgers was the first Country artist that sold over one million records of his single ‘Blue Yodel number one’.  Also all his other songs, that are all recorded between 1927 and 1933, made Rodgers a major player in Country music.

Until Jimmie Rodgers, Country was kind of always the same. After 1933, other artist were developing new kinds of Country music. For example, people were discovering the ‘Honky-tonk Country’, the Nashville sound, the Bakersfield sound and other slightly different ways to produce Country.

In the 2010’s  we had some hits that also could be considered Country. Think about ‘Old town road’ from Lil Nas X, ‘Banjo’ from Rascal Flatts and the famous German-American Country band The Bosshoss which are pioneers of the modern Country.

Also, these meals are very cheap. For example, a Big Mac from McDonalds is six dollars, but it includes a burger, fries and a soda. Because of these reasons, fast-food restaurants are popular, especially in America. It is also a convenience factor. With fast-food restaurants on every corner and drive-ins you will have a meal within a few minutes.

In America, the biggest contributing factor to fast-food’s vast presence is that it is low in costs. A lots of Americans, who earn just enough to make ends meet and cannot afford expensive purchases or fresh food because they have to pay for everything themselves, like houses, medical affairs and cars, and often have no money for mortgages and insurance, are seeing fast-food as the cheapest option for dining.
