There is a steady increase in MAP scores from 5th, 6th, 7th to 8th grade (because they seem to start conspicuously low).
Julian's reading is well below the district average growth ratio. Both still are on track.
There is more discrepancy in reading between certain demographic groups. Brooks is slightly higher than Julian.

Huge drop between 5th and 6th grade, but students make progress throughout middle school. IEP students have similar target growth as non-IEP students. Black student group is the only group below 50% in MAP growth/target.

Attainment:
Tier 3 students achieve the most MAP math attainment growth in 7th grade. Tier 2 and Below Grade Level have gradual growth throughout the years, while Tier 3 is all over the place throughout the years. For Reading, the Below Grade Level attainment level decreases throughout the years.

Assumptions/Suggestions
Growth Ratio:
Targets:
Attainment:
There is a drop in reading scores once they get to the middle schools, while there is a jump in math. Math is tracked, but there is no tracking/clustering for students' reading in the middle schools. Could we "track"/cluster students using their MAP reading scores? During one school year, we used to look at our classes and make sure that attainment groups were not too spread apart in classes (three attainment groups at most in classes). Could that possibly allow reading/humanities teachers to teach reading skills, targets, etc. that are more targeted for these groups?
