His ribs are still hurting from the moose attack, but he said that he will rebuild his shelter very slowly so his ribs won't hurt in the middle of rebuilding. Brian ate a lot of gut berries and he was very sick the next day. No he could not have done what he is doing with the plane when it first crashed because all he thought about was the dead pilots body in the front of the plane. This shows how much Brian has changed and adapted to the wild.
