In China, schools generally will buy books for students and every students have books for all lectures. Both teachers and students need to bring books for class. However, in UK, students don’t need books in class and the universities would not buy books for them. If students want to have books, they need to buy by themselves. Students in UK can also borrow books they need for lectures from library of universities, but they need to borrow as early as they can because of the limit number of books. The load period of books is also different between China and UK. Students with member card of library in China can keep books for 60 days while students in UK can borrow books for 7 days and they need to check their e-mail box after a week in case that the staff of library ask them to return books, otherwise they can keep it all the time. The e-mail box in UK will provide for students while students in China use their own e-mail box. Students in UK need to send an e-mail to book in advance if they need a tutorial. Teachers in China would set up groups with Tencent QQ or WeChat to upload learning materials for students, but teachers in UK share learning sources by uni-Learn system. Teachers in China mainly give lectures to students while teachers in UK will raise topics for students to discuss in sessions. Unlike Chinese quiet self-study room in libraries, libraries in UK offer rooms for students to group discussion.Universities in UK focus on essays or reports rather than examinations.
