Alexander Belyaev's fantastic work "Professor Dowell's Head" became my favorite book after I immersed myself in its atmosphere. In the work, one unusual event follows another, even more strange. Incredible experiments conducted by scientists are described in such a way that you become convinced of the possibility of their actual implementation. That is why Belyaev is for me the best Russian science fiction writer. I read a lot of his works, but this one still remains a favorite.

I’ve recently read a book, which has made a very deep impression on me. It is named “Gone with the Wind” The author of the book is Margaret Mitchell. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia, in a family of the president of the Atlanta Historical Society.

All the family was interested in American history and she grew up in an atmosphere of stones about the Civil War.

After graduating from the college Margaret Mitchell worked for a time for the Atlanta Journal. In 1925 she got married. In the following ten years she put on paper all the stories she had heard about the Civil War.

The result was Gone with the Wind. It was first published in 1936 and became the talking point of all America.

In 1939 the book was made into a highly successful film. Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable played the leading roles. Vivien Leigh won the Oscar. Everyone loved her high-spirited and beautiful heroine, Scarlett O’Hara.

The story is set around the time of the American Civil War (1861-1865), when the Southern states went to war with the North to defend their way of life.

It was a way of life in which rich gentry lived in large houses and owned huge areas of land, cultivated by black slaves. Scarlett O’Hara was born in one of those rich houses.

But “Gone with the Wind” is also about a love triangle. While Scarlett loves the quiet, gentlemanly Ashley Wilkes, the wild and decidedly ungentlemanly Rhett Butler is in love with her.

My favorite book is "The Hourglass. The Time Key".

My favorite book is Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. It tells the story of Harry Potter's youngest son, Albus Severus Potter, an insecure boy meets Draco Malfoy's son, and on the train, their friendship begins to grow stronger. 3 years later, Amos Digori appears in Harry's house, trying to persuade Harry to use the time flywheel to save his son from death. Harry refuses him because it will change the future. Albus overhears the conversation and is disappointed in his father, a little later telling him that he would not want to be his son. It’s impossible to be an educated person without good books. Most of the books are to be read just once, others can be read plenty of times. And each time you find something new and useful as you turn the same pages of your favourite books. I am fond of books about adventures and great people, detective stories and science fiction. I enjoy reading them when I have spare time.

But my favourite book of all times is a novel “Three comrades” written by a German writer Erich Maria Remarque. This book was recommended to me by my elder sister and I’m grateful to her for that advice. It was really worth reading.

“Three comrades” is a book about love and friendship of three common people (Robert, Otto and Gottfried) who lived in Germany between the two World wars. The main characters are real friends who struggle together with poverty and violence and they manage to preserve their dignity and humanity. The story of beautiful and tragic love between Robert and Pat is heart-breaking because the girl dies of tuberculosis.

I find the book very powerful and deeply moving. It teaches people to find the inner strength to live in a tough world. It often helps me when I find myself in a difficult situation and I need an answer to some question. It is my great friend and teacher.

Harry Potter , published in 1997, is one of my favourite novels. It was written by remarkable author, J. K. Rowling. She are outstanding, creative, imaginative writer, who used her imagination to write "Harry Potter". The book is full of mystery and suspense.

Events taking place at the school of magic Hogwarts. The story of the young wizard Harry Potter and his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. The main plot is devoted to Harry and confrontation dark wizard named Lord Volan de Mort, whose objectives include the acquisition of immortality and enslavement magical world.

"Harry Potter" is an outstanding teenager`s fantasy story. Once I picked up this book, I could not put it down. I would like to read this book again and again.
