...a man got out of it, running. He yelled "Stop right there you stupid brats!"

Chikie's snowball stack in his arms fell to the ground. He yells, "Scatter!" Wordless, they split up except Mikey Fahey and me. 

We froze. "🤬" I mutter under my breath. Caught red handed. Chickie looks back as he screams "You'll never catch me alive!!", then promptly runs into a telephone pole. The man shifts his attention to us, "where are your parents? we need to have a talk." he said, then whispering to himself "stupid kids making me late for stupid work with a stupid snowball..."

Mikey yelled, "lets get out of here!" 
Annie yelled to Mikey, "keep running I'm following you!" 
From the car, all we could hear was, "Get back here you little..." 
Running in fear we weren't able to hear the rest, but we could assume what the rest was going to be said.
