         <description><![CDATA[<div>This is an example of how Padlet could be used as a journalling tool. <br>There are many other tools, such as <strong>edublogs</strong> or even features within SLS, that you can use. <br><br>The important considerations are <strong>access</strong> and <strong>ease of use</strong> for <strong>participants</strong> <strong><em>and </em></strong><strong>facilitators </strong>(in terms of providing feedback and tracking progress of participants).<br><br><strong><em>Important notes on setting up Padlet for journalling:</em></strong></div><ul><li>Please <strong>DO NOT</strong> reveal all the journalling prompts to participants <em>—</em> these should be updated session by session.</li><li>Not all prompts are meant for all participants, so <strong>you will need to choose which to assign</strong>:&nbsp;<ul><li>For prompts from Sessions 5 and 6 - Choose those&nbsp; corresponding to the areas of inquiry (5A, 5B, 6A, 6B) pursued by your Reading Circle.&nbsp;</li><li>Some prompts are marked "advanced".&nbsp; These "advanced" versions should be assigned only to RC participants with the appropriate readiness level.&nbsp; Remember to remove the 'advanced' label before publishing those prompts.&nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>Include <strong>instructions for your participants</strong>, such as on &nbsp;<ul><li>creating accounts, Padlets and new posts<ul><li>Login using Student ICON Google accounts and create a linked account to Padlet.&nbsp;</li><li>Where there is more than one journalling prompt to choose from, students need to state the prompt they are responding to.</li></ul></li><li>submission guidelines<ul><li>Include instructions on deadlines and where they can find the journalling prompts (e.g. check SLS) if you are not posting the prompts for them.&nbsp;</li></ul></li><li>Managing Padlets<ul><li>Please refer to our post on Managing Padlet which you can access from each Module Resource Padlet.&nbsp;</li></ul></li></ul></li></ul><div><br></div><div><mark>Highlighted text in subsequent posts are meant only for facilitators.&nbsp; </mark><em><mark>Please </mark></em><strong><em><mark>REMOVE </mark></em></strong><em><mark>highlighted text</mark></em><strong><em><mark> </mark></em></strong><em><mark>in posts meant only for participants.</mark></em><mark> </mark><br><br></div>]]></description>
