2. there is a heavy usage of cool colors, with as far as i can tell only one warm color, all the lines are very loose and not very conventional.
3. If i was Van Gogh, i might be inspired by a view of my town on a hill, taking the "city" scape as more realistic (i say this loosely, as it's still pretty trippy) with the more wonderous stars being very fantastical-ly shaped.
4. I'd say it has a strange quality to it, but because of that strange color and line work it's very surreal i suppose. It's, again, very abstract with crazy loopy lines and almost magical color usage. It evokes a very wonderous sense by it's style, and how iconic it is. 3. I believe that Va Gogh made this art piece as a visual aid to represent a night he remembers very vividally.
