This video show’s positive classroom culture by Establishing Clear Expectations and Routines: Consistent rules and procedures create a predictable and orderly environment.

For the first 20 minutes of class during the morning bellringer, the students knew they had the routine to pull out their iPads once seated and quietly complete their bellringer prompt. Once finished they knew to wait for the instructions from the teacher for the steps and expectations to be presented of what is taking place for that period.

This routine helps the class to start off with calm and controlled behavior to ease into the lesson without disruption to show an environment of positive classroom culture.

Positive Behavior Strategies(Meditation)-Class In Action 2.0

This picture shows this teacher using positive behavior strategy through mediation. This particular class comes in right after lunch and is usually more disruptive. To help prevent an unmanaged classroom, the teacher will sometimes take the first 20 minutes of the class to get them in a calm state of mind. She plays relaxing music and has all of the students lay back and close there eyes. She will take them through a guided meditation that allows them to get lost in there own mind and relax their bodies. When it is over, the whole class is much calmer and alert to receive their class instructions.

This picture shows that the teacher was enforcing a positive learning environment with Student-Centered Rigorous Learning by having the students team up in groups to work on the project assigned together. A great and effective classroom management strategy is to encourage collaboration. Incorporating group work and discussions to promote student interaction and peer support can benefit retention and comprehension of the material being taught.

Regular progress monitoring (MTSS Behavior Strategies)-Class in Action 4.0

Regular progress monitoring.

The teacher will give progress report updates for each of their students at the end of the week in a number system.

This progress report is for participation and for behavior. 1 is the lowest level and 5 is the highest level. The teacher will document throughout the week any issues had with the student and will at the end of the week determine the number or level the student has reached that week.

At the end of the month the teacher will review the trend of any student with consistent fluctuating numbers and contact the parents to show the decline in participation and behavior to assist accordingly. If the numbers show a rise in both behavior and participation the teacher will call the parent at the end of the month to give praise and encouragement.

The students that show continuous good behavior and participation each week (4 to 5), will receive a candy reward at the end of each month. This method and strategy for behavior management is an efficient routine way to keep control of the student’s based off performance reviews.

Character Development and Formation-(Communication games and activities)-`Class in Action 5.0

Character-building games and activities are a great way to help students grow their interpersonal skills in the classroom. They encourage teamwork, communication, empathy, and problem-solving in a fun, hands-on way. When students work together through challenges or reflect on different situations, they learn how to respect others, manage conflicts, and build positive relationships. These activities also create a more supportive and welcoming classroom environment, helping students feel more connected, confident, and ready to succeed both in and out of school. In this classroom the teacher will once or twice a week in each class do a character building game or activity with the students and they really enjoy the experience.

Some examples the teacher will use:

Team Challenges ( example is building a tower with limited materials) — promotes teamwork and creative problem-solving.
Role-Playing Scenarios — develops empathy and perspective-taking by placing students in different social situations.
"Compliment Circle" — encourages positive communication and boosts self-esteem.
Conflict Resolution Role-plays — teaches constructive ways to handle disagreements.
