         <description><![CDATA[<div>At the centre of international mindedness should always be the celebration of diversity. As a keen traveller I have loved being able to explore different parts of the world, meet people from different countries and am fascinated about how their lives differ to mine. To actively seek out learning experiences such as these and to encourage individualism is exactly what international mindedness means to me.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>GWIS is constantly encouraging global citizenship, and to be a global citizen you must be internationally minded. As a global citizen, collaborating with people from different cultures often means  having access to ideas and influences that may not be available in your own country, providing an enriched learning experience.</div>]]></description>

         <title>How do schools today prepare students for global citizenship within biology and other group 4 subjects?</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The scientific community as a whole is an international community, and encouraging the idea of that to show that collaboration in the subject leads to key advancements is vital. Additionally understanding how science has influenced different cultures, and how different cultures have had different theories historically (leading to debate, resolution and advancement) is a way of showing how global citizenship can drive progress. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A running theme throughout my padlet is the highlighting of scientific collaborations. Both nobel prize winning teams, and other groundbreaking discoveries that have had a huge influence on science (wherein scientists have either been competing against fellows from other countries, been building on multinational work, or have been working in the aforementioned multinational teams) have led to increasing the international-mindedness of the students in my groups.</div>]]></description>
