Building a Math Talk Community are at the beginning of each unit. It explains how to utilize math talk during the unit. Great resource of how to have students elicit math talks.

In the back of your teacher's manual in the teacher resources there are vocabulary activities you can use for math talks.

Malk Talk in Action is found in your lessons as a WHOLE GROUP piece. This is to use to see how things are going and a sample for you to use.

During math talks teacher are walking around a listening to partners or small groups. The teachers are the facilitator of math talks. Teacher questions students thinking as they walk around the classroom.

Then click assign students->click on students you have and add them into the class and then click done

Click HOME will always bring you back to the home page and always start at kindergarten

Enter into Personal Math Trainer on your grade level-> Two Items Personal Math Trainer and Fluency
Personal Math Trainer->Select Drop-down menu and you will see Assessments, Lesson-Level Homework, Quick Quizzes, Standards-Based Assignments
Fluency-> Select Drop-down menu and you will see Fluency Practice and Fluency Check

Assign a quiz, identifying mastery level. Students will be directed to workflow space. This piece is for the few top and few intervention kids...only...
Example: Set mastery level. The mastery level will send students to either (Adaptive Workflow Settings: Adaptive Workforce: Yes:)
Workflow Type: Intervention Enrichment is above level for those students on level who want/need to be taken further. 
Personal Study Plan: Assign up to four weeks for kids who need further practice

Students do not need to be assigned work they can go into their library->Math Activity Center->select items to practice however as a teacher you cannot get a report from these assignments.
