         <title>The York Battles of 1812</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>The Canadians did not start the war well by the time they got there tanks ready the USA has already captured there ammunition and blown up&nbsp; most of there stuff</li><li>&nbsp;But 250 Americans died during the ambush and the burning some got shot and blown up zebulon M Pike&nbsp;</li><li>The Americans successfully took over York Canada &nbsp; but they occupied it from April 27 1812 to may 1 1813 &nbsp;</li><li>But instead of using it for wars the territory they destroyed government bases homes and stores&nbsp;</li><li>After they finally took York back all there buildings and home were burned&nbsp; and there capitol was gone and burned&nbsp; so they had to rebuild there capitol&nbsp; before they got revenge on the United States &nbsp;</li><li>There&nbsp; revenge was burning the White House&nbsp; they successfully did&nbsp; after they retreated east after they did burn the white house they lost to many people&nbsp; and regular the USA would have crushed them the USA said&nbsp; surrender or die they chose surrender&nbsp;</li><li>The US forced them&nbsp; to burn there gun powder and weapons so they could not attack during the surrender&nbsp; they went east away from the burning&nbsp;city's and the chaos&nbsp; and if they did not they would all die there general at the time was sheaf and hes the one that decided to surrender&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;York's real name was little York and Canada was called the six because it was divided in into six parts&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;old Toronto Scarborough east York north York&nbsp; and little York {little York was a smaller town right next to York }&nbsp; &nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;The u.s. was saved by a big storm British did not think it was a war we burned the capital first Europeans were allies with British &nbsp; but did not really help we burned there capital first&nbsp; it marked there first surrender ever&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>In 1803 the U.S. bought 500 million acres of land from France</li><li>The Louisiana Purchase almost doubled the size of the United States 🇺🇸&nbsp;</li><li>&nbsp;Thomas Jefferson sent explores to survey the land like Zebulon Pike  and Stephen H Long</li><li>At first Thomas Jefferson only wanted New Orleans(mouth of Mississippi River) then Napoleon&nbsp; said how about the whole Louisiana territory&nbsp;</li><li>Then they sent a person to think about the purchase then another person came to help him think</li><li>They wanted New Orleans because it was the center of trade but instead, they got the whole Louisiana Territory&nbsp;</li><li>It was about 3 cents per acre</li><li>They spent some time to think until they came up with $15,000,000 and that's how much the Louisiana Purchase was back then&nbsp;</li><li>It was some of south dakota some of colorado&nbsp; montana and missouri and all the way to the canada border</li><li>There was a lot of stuff happening like the french war and the battles of 1812 at the time and that made the Louisiana purchase happen</li></ul>]]></description>
