PLN's allow teachers to have a sense of connection with teachers from across the entire world. The sense of community is endless with PLN's. We can gather and share information, which can aid and support fellow teachers across the globe in teaching methods and tips.

By having the world at our fingertips we are exposed to so much information and knowledge. By having a strong PLN and being connected to many insightful others we can foster many new ideas and these ideas can be transmitted to our teaching practices.

Another benefit by having PLN's implemented in K-12 teaching is that of support. If we are ever stuck alone in a classroom and are having difficulties with a particular lesson we can easily communicate with one another and the person at the other end may be able to help you or refer you to a site or someone else.

By being connected to other professionals and by having the continuous input of other colleagues or pages of interest, we can grow as an educator. You never want to frame yourself in a box and by being involved with PLN's we can continue to grow and develop new abilities and techniques that will only aid us in our academic career.
