The main reason why I think that education should be free is that there are a lot of people who can't afford to study due to financial issues. When it comes to private education, people claim that, private schools offer more quality throughout the educational process, and this leads to public schools being underrated.

I also believe that there shouldn't be such thing as private education since private schools reinforce privilege. It seems unfair for people with less money to get education that's not as good simply because they do not have as much money.

The only con of getting free education I could think of was the increase of taxes, however, the pros are worth it. As for private education, I don't necessarily agree or disagree. This way, everyone can get the education they deserve, no matter their financial or social background. Another plus is that the state would benefit immensely from such an investment; what I mean by this is that more people would be interested in pursuing even higher education, therefore scoring high-profit jobs. On the other hand, some argue that once college education is free, students won't take it as seriously because they are not the ones paying for it. 
As for private education, I don't think it should be prohibited; however, I think it needs improvement. Many private colleges don't provide good education and only exist for rich people to maintain their social status.
