This is a critical need, because many people are not able to go to work due to having to watch their children. This issue is important to me because I have met many people who are needing the work hours, but are not able to go to work because their daycare or babysitter fell through.

I think this is important because a lot of the child's development happens soon after the child is born, and it is important for the parents to be there.

I know in some states parents have to pay for a bus service for their kids, this addresses a financial issue some families may have with getting their child to school. Children need protection when they are in an unsafe home environment. This is important to me because I have known children and their families have been called on by DHS. There are a lot of well-informed teenagers that don't get any say in who their officials are. The ones who are uninformed are very unlikely to vote anyways.

Every child is different and some need more attention maybe because of complications or just in general. I don't think that the job or the government should get to decide when the mother has to return to work if the child is not physically or mentally ready to be separated from their mother.
