The kids behaved impecabbly and the parents were so supportive and loved the opportunity to work with their (and other) child/ren. They were full of praise and compliments for what they saw take place in art class. We were of course making quatrefoils. Some of these parents saw the end result and loved it. Thanks to everyone who supported this project and helped to make a small idea come to life.

The brain teasers did interrupt class time quite a bit. I loved the story idea of a read a long. We did quatrefoils in our open classroom and the parents were really involved with the activity as well as the kids. :)
