AREQUIPA CARNIVALCarnivals are artistic expressions that occur in popular culture with dances and songs typical of each region of our Peru. In Arequipa they perform to the beat of the huayno and in troupes in groups formed by several couples dressed in mestizo costumes from the South. Youthful, cheerful and marriageable dance, performed mainly by young single men.The Arequipa carnival party is celebrated in February and March, it is danced in comparsas made up of young single people who to the sound of happy melodies dance animatedly without stopping, going through squares and streets, engaged in a competition to challenge the residence of sex opposite.
