Find frequent opportunities to discuss grit and open vs. closed mind sets in fiction and non-fiction texts.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Agree with all of you!&nbsp; Model optimism, talk about it, write about it, use literature to bring out character traits such as optimism...&nbsp; Have students "watch" for others showing this trait.&nbsp; We used to have a week long focus on RAK(Random Acts of Kindness) to get kiddos thinking about it and doing so in daily life.&nbsp; That would be fun to do it again!&nbsp; Practice leads to mastery, right!?&nbsp; :)<br><br></div>]]></description>
