Winona Area Learning Center

1. One BILT goal that we, as a staff, are excited about is building in 5 Earned Reward Days Off for students who are on track in all of their classes and have good attendance. We hope that this will provide an incentive for students to stay on track in their classes and maintain good attendance.

2. We want to learn more about other ways to improve attendance and to motivate students to stay on track in all of their classes.

1. Implementing a tier 2 phonics/phonemic awareness program utilizing the CORE diagnostic assessment.

I am excited about having one BILT team where elementary works together. I'm also excited to have tier 2 time across the three schools so teachers can collaborate and focus on individual student needs which will be determined by diagnostic assessments.

I am looking forward to working at and learning more about the the kindergarten center, as well as the two 1-4 buildings. I am hoping alignment will help us all be on the same page more often!

I am excited about being a part of the BILT team at WSHS, as this is a new committee for me.

I am looking forward to bringing what I learn at BILT to the Special Education team I work with.

Secondly, I want to learn more about creating a cohesive culture among the varied student styles we have at WSHS.

It will be a great year.

I am excited that there will be structure to our PLC time that will focus on Instruction and the tools that Winona has in place.

Something I want to learn more about is how the Danielson Framework will merge with our current materials.
