The new consumers' expectations are that they want to get what they want, when they want it, in the lowest price possible.

-----------------------------
An on-demand economy refers to the economic activity that expects to access goods and services at their fingertips and their demands being fulfilled through the immediate provisioning of goods and services by technology companies.
-----------------------------
An industry that have been disrupted is the restaurant industry. With the rise of food delivery apps such as FoodPanda, Deliveroo and UberEats, consumers no longer need to physically go to a restaurant to get their meal as they can simply order food from their desired restaurants through an app which will then be conveniently delivered at their doorstep. Such food delivery apps disrupt the customer sales of restaurants as from time to time, people would find it easier to simply have their food delivered to them as compared to going out to get a meal.

One such app would be Snapchat. Snapchat is a Social app where you use it to send videos, pictures or chat with your friends. What makes it interesting about Snapchat is that the person who sends a picture to his or her recipient has control over how long the recipient is able to view the picture that the sender had sent. After that short period of time, the picture is gone forever. If the recipient tries to take a quick screenshot of the received picture, the sender will receive a notification. Another interesting feature on Snapchat that I often use is the Facial Tool where you can make funny faces with your face! Instagram is one of Snapchat's competitors as they have about the same functionalities as Snapchat. I still prefer Snapchat as they have more funny and interesting facial features as compared to Instagram's.
