Being born in a small town in Poland was hard already. Then the German Army invaded in September 1939. Frank's first resistance was posing as a Pole to go from town to town to buy and sell anything he could to help his family. By 1942 the community Frank was in was suffering from hunger and disease. In October of 1942, the Judenrat informed the Jews of the town that they were going to be moved to a ghetto.
