         <description><![CDATA[<p>The 1979 Islamic Revolution was a conflict started by the people of Iran to overthrow the Pahlavic Monarchy. This mass uprising had to objective of establishing the Islamic Republic under Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. This was due to massive discontent in the country relating to economic inequality, harsh living condition, Western influence, and many other factors. These protest where passive in nature and started a long strike starting in January of 1979. Soon enough Khomeini returned from exile and setup the country under Islamic Law</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The 1979 Islamic Revolution had some downsides for Iran. People lost a lot of personal freedoms, especially women, because of the strict religious rules. Western stuff got banned, which made the country feel more cut off from the rest of the world. Plus, not everyone agreed with the changes, so it created a lot of tension.</p>]]></description>

Thanks to the newly established Islamic Republic many religious culture becames synonymous with daily life. Tons of traditions and celebration became part of the lifes of every person in the country once again, enriching the Islamic culture, specially when it came to their religion. This also became a symbol for Muslims around the world to become part of the practices again.</p>]]></description>
