Trench Warfare was horrible. The new technology in the war was so advanced with the new weapons and ammo that could shoot a mile. There were bodies in the trenches, out in front of them also. Soldiers would write letters home, they would basically be writing there death note. The Germans would build comfortable, dry, and safer trenches than the US.
