The important message in The Wolf and the Crane is Expect no reward for serving the wicked. The last fable is The Lion and the Mouse. The message in The Lion and the Mouse is a kindness is never wasted. The fables do have an impact today because those fables taught us very important lesson and for example, in The Lion and the Mouse it talks about how a lion helps the mouse.
