On another sabbbath, Jesus entered the synagogue and there was a man whose hand was lithered. The scribes and Pahrisees watched him to see whether he would cure on the sabbath so they can accuse him. Jesus said to the man "Come and stand here" and so he did. Jesus knew what the others were thinking, but still restored the withered hands of the man.

Jesus had finished all his sayings in the hearing of the people before entering Capernaum. A centurion there had a slave who he valued a lot but was ill and close to death. When he heard about Jesus, he sent others in search of Jesus to come and heal his slave. Jesus came with the Jews and not far from the house, the centurion sent other friends to say to him "Lord, do not trouble yourself, for I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, therefore i did not come to you. But only say the world and let me servant be healed." When Jesus heard this he was amazed. He turned to the crowd that followed him and he said "I tell you, not even in Israel have i found such faith." When those who were sent returned back to the house and found the slave in good health.

Jesus went to a town called Nain with his disciples and a large crowd with him. As he approached the gates, a man who had died was being carried out. He was his mother's only son and she was a widow. When the Lord saw her, he had compassion for her and said to her, "Do not weep". Then he came forward and touched the bier and the bearers stood still. He said "Young man, I say to you, rise!". The dead man stood up and began to speak and Jesus gave him to his mother. Everyone was seized with fear and they glorified God, saying "A great prophet has risen among us!" and "God has looked favourably on his people!" This word about Jesus spreaded throughout Judea and all the surrounding country.

Jesus approached Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the roadside begging. When he heard a crowd going by, he asked what was happening and they told him "Jesus of Nazareth is passing by". Then he shouted, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" Those who were infront ordered him to be quiet but the man shouted louder "Son of David, have mercy on me!". Jesus stood still and ordered the man to be brought to him. When the man came, Jesus asked, "What do you want me to do for you?" He said, "Lord, let me see again." Jesus said to him" Receive your sight; your faith has saved you". Immediately he ragined his sight and followed him, glorifying God; and all the people, when they saw it, prasied God.
