Shah and Connie saw the opportunities for online furniture shopping, and in 2002 they started CSN(later known as Wayfair) out of Connie’s nursery in Boston. CSN Stores was a cluster of more than 200 almost absurdly narrow niche sites, with names such as HotPlatews.com and EveryGrandfatherClock.com.” After many years of backend development, in 2011, Wayfair was launched as an e-commerce store for all furniture that CSN previously sold but on one particular site. This was a new concept at the time.
