This is by far one of my favorite songs for this single note repetition, as it emphasizes the overall message of the song that resonates with me. That message is one of exhaustion with life's overbearing monotony and the artists need for some kind of change or sedation. A wonderful example of this resides within the song "Let it Go" from Disney's "Frozen". When one of the main characters, Elsa, sings the word "know" in the phrase "...now they know" in this song, the note changes the song from one of perceived isolation an despair to pride and self-acceptance.
