As a future educator, I am very concerned about my future students potentially becoming overly dependent on technology, especially since they are born into an advanced technology generation. However, I believe there will be ways to overcome this controversial issue.

In the video, Natasha Berg presented three options along with their consequences. First, we could let students use CHATGPT, but this might hinder their development. Second, we could prohibit them from using it, but in reality, we cannot control what students do outside of school. And as a student myself, I can't deny that I use it for most of my activities and assignments because it's hard to construct ideas or tasks, especially for complex topics. OpenAI has been very useful to me.

Lastly, letting students use CHATGPT/OpenAI but teaching them to use it safely and interactively is the approach I favor. I want to teach students to use it not only to help them complete tasks easily but also to encourage critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and creativity.

She advocates everyone to have a holistic approach in supporting educators' well0-being such as; giving adequate resources, fostering culture of support, and implementing policies that prioritizes teachers' mental health. For me, watching this TED talk is very timely with the latest issue of a viral teacher in the Philippines, although it is really not nice to say bad words to your students, let us also remember that teachers can reach their limits, and be exhausted emotionally and mentally. That's why, prioritizing and supporting teachers is a collective thing students, teachers and institutes may do to create healthier and sustainable learning and working environment to shape a better future generation.

When I hear about the dangers of tech, like cyberbullying and getting too hooked, it makes me worry. I imagine students out there struggling with this stuff, maybe feeling lost and alone.

But then, I can't help but feel excited about the good stuff technology brings. I picture students diving into cool stuff, connecting with each other in new ways, and really taking charge of their learning.

And knowing that tech is such a big part of their lives makes it personal. It's not just about teaching them stuff—it's about guiding them through this digital world so they can handle it all.

Thinking about it all, I remember that education is about people. It's about understanding each student, supporting them when things get tough, and cheering them on when they succeed, no matter how small. And in today's digital world, that connection matters more than ever.

As a student who has experienced both the textbook approach and project-based learning, I can say that the latter approach is better. When I was in elementary school, our teachers used to teach us traditional teaching using books and manila paper, which only worked for students who were actively listening. Now that I am in college, wherein a learner-centered approach is more commonly practiced, I think works great for both the teachers and us students. As learners, we get to set our own goals and generate new ideas while learning along the way with project-based learning. 

For me, this video made me realize that we future educators should not only teach but also support students, provide them with feedback on how they can improve, and help them learn through exploration. It would be very fulfilling for us if they felt more confident and accomplished and if they discovered their own genius with our help. So now, as a pre-service teacher, my goal is not simply to help my students pass their board exams or national achievement tests;  rather, I aim to nurture each of my students' genius.

Thinking about what speaker said, I remember how much education has helped me in my life until now. It's like guiding me on the right path and shows me what’s possible. Based on what i have watched by TED talks. About the benefits of technology that numerous advantages have resulted from the integration of technology into education, changing the educational process for both teachers and students.
