In “The Dream”, I find the meaning of dreams, it is something so mystical, amazing if we understand that the dreams are culturally considered to be premonitions or memories. Other persons think that there is no connection, nevertheless we all have lived in some moment this connection between dream and real life. It is something like dejavu, this sensation of an already lived situation and that repeats itself.

With the experience and time, we have learned that we must listen to these mental manifestations. What we see in dreams often they are samples of our anxieties, dreads and desires. In some cases, they give us response to hanging situations in the reality.

In “The Blind Man”, the author told us about personal overcoming, of living every day fully though adverse circumstances we have. Maurice is an example of fight and courage, Isabel shows us the unconditional love of a woman for his husband and his son. Also there appears Bertie, who has everything what he wants in the life, except the love of the woman of his dreams. Bertie has loved Isabel silently many years, though she only cares him as his best friend.

Maurice shows the jealousies and the fear that he feels for Bertie, But when he knows him, he realizes that his jealousies are groundless because Isabel only loves him, for what he offers a friendship to Bertie. Maurices only can see through the touch, he decides to toch Bertie to recognize him, so he can see Bertie’s fear and weakness. That’s the reason why, in the end, Maurice feels calm and trusting, and Bertie decides to run away of a situation where he feels in disadvantage.

Now I’m going to talk about the third storie “It Happened Near a Lake”. In this storie, we can see the obsessive jealousies on another person, it causes so much damage to a relationship.

The man wants to travel, his wife just want to have a house in a great city. So, she decided to travel with him, with the final intention of making him unhappy, she doesn’t want that his dreams come true because that means that her dreams do not make real either. Finally, she finds the fingerprints that would make real her husband´s dream but she erases them in order that he does not see them. She doesn’t know that the monster is nearby, and it attacks her. The previous night she has said to his husband that she will go away of his side, that is why he does not realize her death.

Charater : Maurice was blinded during the war and he has scars, disfigurement on his face, KHe is also depressed. 
He lives with Isabel,his young wife; he has become socially isolated since his injury in the war.
The best moment of maurice is when he feel unconfortable at the dinner with his wife and her friend, so he go out of the house. when Bertie, Isabel´s friend, come to see him, he find Maurice in the barn.
He asks Bertie to touch his useless eyes and his terrible scar.
That experience is a revelation for both men. Maurice can understand the great meaning of friendship, instead Bertie discovers the fear he can feel about familiarity.
