This helps with students who are learning at different levels and making sure that you are hitting each student at the level their at. I am at a 4 with comfortability with differentiation.

Differentiated instruction is essential. We have to be able to meet the needs of our individual students and the whole group. I would rate myself as a 3 when assessing my comfortability with differentiation.

I feel that differentiated instruction is crucial to push students to the next level. Not only for our struggling students, but for all students. I feel that I'm probably at a 4 with comfortability. I have small groups for reading, writing and math based on their performance levels on tiered assessments and observations. One goal I have from this lesson would be strategies for some of my higher students that are developmentally appropriate, but still challenging.
