I think our best classes are the ones where we quickly review the readings, but then focus on case studies that apply to them. This approach has been great for the "in practice" part of our course.

I like it when the class is less lecture focused and we do case studies or group activities.

I don't do the readings often if i'm keeping it real. I do skim through them sometimes, or I only go through the slides.

I think the class is quite insightful for me. Instead of just writing notes off a presentation the entire time, I'm listening to the opinions of others on different case studies, which I think allows me to comprehend the information differently.

My favorite discussions are when we talk about current issues and relate them to what we're discussing in class.

I think the class discussions about case studies and real world problems are the most helpful and listening to classmates and forming different opinions.

Based on the readings and discussions, we could work on incorporating other media sources. Our class conversations and case studies are super interesting, but I would love to see other outside sources ( not readings that apply), including news or even videos.

I think it's a peculiar feeling when I do a reading and realize there's nothing left to do, no discussion questions, just the reading. But it isn't a bad thing; it's just a different feeling.

i like when the class is more interactive with case studies and group activities because it helps me understand the material better than just lectures.

I like the discussion focused classes as well as the stories I feel like the stories that you tell make understanding what we are learning a lot easier and brings the concept to life

the readings, sometimes its hard to keep up or even read in general because its more interesting and engaging to learn about the topic when you explain it and its put into an assingnment or project

Sometimes group discussions are surface level and repetitive. Sometimes we don't follow materials provided for whatever specific day of class. A big thing for me, is we're told to do these readings or guided discussions before class via sakai, then really don't touch on it or we briefly examine it. Sometimes it wastes my time, others its more so just frustrating. We have also spoken about marginalized communities health issues or events and so far its been very brief and we usually don't follow the paper assigned with it . For a class focused on ethics, we look at everything a lot of times from a jesuit standpoint, while not looking at these events as a co-conspirator instead of perhaps as a performative ally? I think that some classmates may not benefit from surface levels response, because students should be culturally competent for the healthcare field, and not become victim to structural illiteracy, especially if they cannot relate as a minority or marginalized identity..

What is working well for me is the workload as its not too heavy & the readings are always interesting to learn about.

What is not working well for me is attempting to stay consistent with reviewing the Sakai page as I have missed extra credit opportunities which would've been helpful.

Something that has been working well for me is just how our class time is usually used. I like how you incorporate stories from experience, as well as historical cases since they help me stay focused and engaged during lectures.

Sometimes the readings aren't that engaging. We also end up discussing them pretty briefly which makes it harder to stay caught up with the readings.

I find it difficult to keep up with the readings due to the workload in my other classes. To help us fully understand the material, I would love to see more in-class activities or small group projects. For example, we could try an activity where one group creates a hypothetical case study and another group has to solve it

I like it when we talk about real-world problems in small groups, it is helpful to listen to different opinions and see if I agree or disagree, or if it ends up changing my opinion completely.
