  • Share something accomplished: I completed another class for my graduate degree and I completed IB training for TOK..
  • Share something funny. Waking up in dog pee because my convalescent dog couldn't get off the bed to go outside.
  • Share something learned: I took at Game Theory class that I thought I would hate, but it turned out to be my favorite graduate class so far.

Goal:
What is one academic goal you have for the semester? To learn graduate level Macroeconomics.

I spent the entire break in Kinshasa, Congo.

Recollections

  • One thing I accomplished is that I learned how to read and write my mother tongue languages.
  • I found many funny memes online and I would occasionally joke around with my friends on chats. 
  • I learned to do basic and advance coding in Python and some math tricks.

Goal

My goal for this semester is to speak French with better vocabulary.

How can we better understand what your time away from TASOK was like?

  • Something I accomplished was staying home and having Ramadan and online at the same time. 
  • After online was over is when the fun actually started I would go out with friends and I even when jet skiing ones which was great.
  • Being away from TASOK through me one big thing is that organisation and time management is key to success. 

Goal
My biggest goal this year is to learn how to manage my time properly between school time and free time.

I spent most of the summer break in my house.

Recollections:
- I accomplished my first 6 voice lessons that I took over the break.
-We talk to our extended family every weekend and my uncle shared a funny story about how his car stopped working in the middle of the highway.
-I learned more singing techniques because of my voice lessons.

I didn't travel that much. I spend most of my time in Kinshasa, Congo.

recollections
  • During this time I was able to read the three first books in the old testament.
  • During this time me and my cousins went to the beach at Dubai and sat on the sand close to the water. we didn't see the big waves coming and just sat there. We almost drowned there! But it was fine.
  • During this time I learned about the importance of family and spending time together.
Goal
One of my goal is to learn how to focus and not be distracted during my working time.

I spent most of my time in Kinshasa however I did do a lot of traveling around.

During quarantine I was in Congo, Kinshasa. 

How can we better understand what your time away from TASOK was like?

Shockingly, during this quarantine I learned how to drive a car.

I flooded my whole room.

I learnt how to cook and some coding.

Being in quarantine help me realize that there are many things that you can do they can keep you busy, focused, and concentrated. It can also distract and guide you away from what you want. From all of this I mean to say that being with yourself can make you realize who you actually, are in a way.


Goal
My goal is to not stress over things as much as I used to in school and give it all my best.

Location: I was at home during the entire period of closure with my family in Kinshasa. 

Recollections: 

- Share something accomplished: I have gone deeper into reading, writing poems and little pieces, and have listened to more music. I have also recollected to my hobby of creating art pieces and designing. 

- Share something funny: I had attended this virtual camp called Global Encounters. It was their first time organizing one and my first time attending one. So we were assigned to cabin families where we could interact with the members. One of the members did not like Indian food and the others loved Indian food. So they spent 2 hours debating on a pointless topic of food after cabin hours. 

- Something learnt: In the same camp we were supposed to attend workshops and one of the ones which I had attended was Entrepreneurship workshop. They had thought us how to pitch to investors and they had also thought us many different ways, ideas, techniques, and methods we can use. Plus they also brought a panel of judges to help us practice our pitching and present our ideas.

this summer i learnt how to fish.
Something very funny is that my mom, my aunt, my cousin, and I all woke up at five a.m on my Uncle's (the one on the left) birthday to get our boat out to surprise him and catch the sunrise.
this summer i FINALLY managed to bake macarons correctly!
