Pete Seeger was also vocal in his negative ideas that he held against the HUAC and how they pry into personal information. There was no concrete evidence against those who were accused and even if there was, the free country of America was founded on the principle of free speech and free ideas. These Witch Hunts ruined people’s lives and led to mass hysteria among citizens and those in high positions of power.
