Summary:
The author James Baldwin wrote a funny story that the main characters are six blind men and an elephant. The blind men want to learn what kind of animal the elephant is by touching it together. However, they argued for the looking of the elephant for a long time but still cannot to reach an agreement since they touched different parts.
Response:
Last two weeks, we have already read two news about the environment and social problems. So, I choose this  story since it is funny and introspective. Clearly, the author's main idea is to remind readers do not look at things from a single point of view just like the blind men did. Sometimes, we thought ourselves as the embodiment of wisdom and laugh at others who holds different opinions. However, every coins has two sides. Just like the Shakespeare said, "There are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand people's eyes." We do need to learn to see the issue from a different perspective.

I love this story so much, because it is meaningful and interesting. This is a big tale which can bring us into deep thinking. Do you believe what you see? In the modern society, science and technology are so developed. Everything can be what you would like to see by technology. Therefore, we need extra attention than before to distinguish between right and wrong. Just like what we read about H&M, if we can think deeply about how many products they made in a short period, we can easily discover that they are actually harm the environment which is seriously bad. This article use attractive details to cause the audience not be foolish about the surface of everything. Act fair to every men who you don't really know. Be sober about things that you experience, especially when you make decisions.

I was getting a little bit confused when I was reading the story because why would they think that by touching the elephant, they would know how it looks like? Later on I realized this story is more like a parable that teaches us something. From this story, I learned that in order to fully understand one thing, you should learn it multiple ways because sometimes one aspect doesn't show the whole picture.

Summary:
Trump offered solutions such as giving bonuses to teachers who undergo gun training in order to prevent the more school massacres. He claimed that most terrorists

 are cowards that have no guts to walk into a school if 20% of the teachers have guns. However, Randi, the head of the American Federation of Teachers totally disagreed since he thought the teachers' responsibilities are teaching instead of going up against an AR-15.  But Trump still believed that the Gun-free zones, meanwhile, are appealing to criminals.

To be honest, I am a definitely guns lover. But in this question, I really think make the schools become the gun zones is a good idea for two reasons. Firstly, it is well known many adolescents are impulsive. Sometimes they might argue with classmates or even with teachers since they are rebel. But no matter how they argued, few of them will be in danger of life. However, if the gun appears somewhere at school, everything is different. It is horrible to image the result if someone lose temper with the gun at school. Secondly, most terrorists are desperadoes who careless about their own lives actually. So I don't think they will be afraid even though some teachers might have the gun.

In my own perspective, I totally disagree with President Trump's idea. First of all, if a classroom is breached, i don't think the teacher would have time to take out the gun, because the terrorists usually hold the teacher first. Moreover, if a teacher had a gun, it would simply increase the chance of a school shooting. Maybe the teacher had serious mental problems plus anger issues. He would point his gun to his students. Or maybe one smart student who was cruised about the gun stole the gun and created an accident. This would not help to protect the school at all. Why would we use the bonuses in a better way, such as building a better environment for students. Having a good environment is the most important thing.

After reading this article, I think this is a terrible opinion. It is not because that I don't like Mr. Trump personally, it is because this idea is absurd to me. School should be a peaceful and heavenly place, and things such as gun is definitely not allowed in school. It is true that school shooting is a threat to the society, but we should fix it in another way. Imagine what the students would think if they knew that their teachers carry guns to classrooms? I would be horrified by that.
