this event is important in history because of all the damage caused to everyone's homes and it's also important to take in to fact that half of the people went into debt after the hurricane, while others were covered by insurance. The reason for that is because most insurance companies require separate flood plans that are not included with the hurricane/homeowners insurance.

This event is an a mixture of Ecocentric, Anthropocentric, and Technocentric and here's why, we had laws passed to ensure the safety of people by not allowing them to build to a certain area near sea level. We also had a huge impact on the environment. Technological Advancement: We improved the weather forecasting channels to better prepare everyone affected where to evacuate and how to efficiently protect their families/loved ones. Anthro-centric, Focus on Human Well-being and Recovery: We saw very quick results when it came to people needed the support from the financial side of tings like housing, food, clothing and just he necessities. There was so much support for people to get back on their feet from local organizations funding costs for people in desperate need. They passed laws to limit people can live to enhance the safety of others Eco-centric, Understanding Climate Change Impacts: There is a theory that warmer ocean temperatures contribute to stronger storms and heavier rainfall, emphasizing the need for actions that address climate change. They believe each individual were to contribute to a little change it would cause big change everywhere.
