This a bak zang from the Chinese culture. It is usually made and eaten in the fifth month every year. During this time, my grandmother will gather with my uncles and aunties to make a huge amount of Bak zang.

The name of this food is called “tang yuan” and it belongs to the Chinese culture. I would eat this dish during “dongzhi”which is also a festival in the Chinese culture. This dish is meaningful to me as I would usually eat this dish together with my family. Even when we don’t have the time to eat this dish at one table, we would still eat it. Whenever I eat this dish I would always think about my family.

This is called henna Art , which is extracted from a special type of leaf that leaves a dark orange pigment. It is usually worn a day or 2 before a celibration where all females gather and offering to do henna art on each other hands while chitchatting about the celebration coming up . It is also a Sunnah( tradition ) in Islam culture which symbolises celebration , joy and beauty . Fun fact henna is also used on hair as a natural hair dye and a n effect hair care ingredient due to its strong dark orange pigment.and goodness of it.At my house when a big event comes by my grandmother offer to make henna cones by drying the leaves few months before and grinding it creating a fine powder which later mixed with herbs and water . My grandmother believes that the store bought hennas dose not stain as the handmade and usally contain harmful chemicals .
