The performer could then move the polly pod where was most comfortable for him. This drill worked well as the performer had control over his own learning of where to place his feet</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><a href="https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1TNB7Z_WPmU9jbeSdYxK9Tduuq3pnB4K5OJh3tHHUBBg/edit#slide=id.g4604a223ec_1_47">(Performance Goals Link No.1)</a><br>As the weeks progress the skills the the last week are carried through, making sure that we are adding layers to what we have already learnt. In this week class we will be adding in the upper body movement of the shot put, which is the rotation of the trunk. I use a weighted medicine ball in the drill so as the performer can create the muscle tension in his body to simulate a shot put throw in a ballistic horizontal type movement and in an adapted position. In the video, the performer still need to work on his foot position, trunk rotation and driving off the back foot.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In week 6 the use of the med ball was very helpful in allowing the student again to focus on the transition of weight from the back foot to the front while throwing the larger ball. The larger ball takes away a small bit of the technical aspect of the throw and more focuses on the bio-mechanics of the shot put throw.</div>]]></description>

In the second photo you can see the hips have come through, full extension of the throwing arm and chest facing forward. </div>]]></description>

Keeping low through the skip, back foot comes to front foot and front foot steps forward. The upper body moves in time with the legs finishing with the shot put being thrown with more power.  </div>]]></description>

In the second video the weighted large ball adapted the skill making it more manageable, while still performing the fundamental shot put movements.</div>]]></description>
