Industry 4.0 is a new step of the Industrial Revolution, focused strongly on interconnections, robotics, machinery education, and real-time knowledge. The 4.0 ties together physical development and processes with advanced emerging technology, artificial learning and big data, also called IIoT or advanced manufacturing, to create a more integrated and connected environment for businesses that emphasis on logistics and supply chains.
(Industry 4.0, 2020)

First generation (industry 1.0):

In the late 1700s and early 1800s, the first industrial revolution took place. The development method progressed from manual labor by humans, assisted by working livestock, to a more efficient mode of labor by machines, using water and steam engines and other forms of computer machinery.

Second generation (industry 2.0):

The second came from the 1850s until the First World War which began with the invention of steel, leading to the early electrified development of plants and the first mass manufacturing spills.

Third generation (industry 3.0):

A new technological revolution was gradually evolving from the late 1950s, with producers beginning to introduce more electrical technologies into their factories – and, finally, digital technology. Durer observed a transition in analog and mechanical technologies that placed less emphasis on digital technology and automation tools.

(Epicor MENA, 2020)

Fourth generation (industry 4.0):

Modern industrial infrastructure has always been used in manufacturing, but it improves output with Industry 4.0. This can increase efficiencies and alter conventional relationships of output between manufacturers, consumers and buyers – as well as between people and the system. The foundation blocks of Industry 4.0 are nine technology developments.

Systems Network allows Industry 4.0 and the digital plant to be realized. With the help of intelligent machines, which keep becoming smarter as more intelligence is available, our factories are becoming less inefficient and competitive. Finally, the network of these computers is digitally connected and generates and exchanges data that results in the true power of Industry 4.0.

Conclusion:

In a variety of sectors, real time chemical sensors will open up a new age in process control. The pulp and paper industry is a perfect example of how sophisticated plant ideas in recent decades have modified production practices well before they were called Industry 4.0. More definitely the next industries to demonstrate the installation of intelligent sensors are the pharmaceutical or chemical industries.

You need to use tools to automate projects, improve efficiency and teamwork, and optimize data in real time to create a profitable, agile organization in the business world of today. Epicor's Industry 4.0 technologies will lead you in the right direction.
