I wanted to link it with the mind map I had created on the term " growth " and "change". This is because I thought there were strong aspects of the term that I had strong views about and would confidently be able to create a portfolio about. 

The library research was based around evolution of animals and the growth in medicine internationally. At this point I am still in an early stage of research so I am still exploring my potential opportunities for my chosen theme of the terms "growth" and "change". 

The images shown are rituals that the Jews, Hindus and Egyptians believed in that would heal their people at the time which they thought was medicine. Some would give each other ritual baths and the Egyptians would often mummify the bodies of their king or queen and bury them in tombs with their lungs and liver in jars that had symbols on so that they were protected to be passed on with their soul into the after life.

the deer antlers interested me because I know that they all grow into different shapes and sizes with each individual deer and they grow in stages as the fawn grows to adulthood. 

I worked with these for a little while and also used some of the primary images of the deer skulls.
